One hero, one million rooms

Jono is a 2D precision platformer built around a single shared character. There is only one Jono in the world, and everyone plays the same one. The road ahead holds 1 000 000 levels, and each room is unique: stairs, spikes, crushers, ice, portals, puzzles, chasing spike walls, dark rooms, and rooms that turn the whole world sideways. Progress is permanent and global. Every room cleared by anyone stays cleared for everyone, forever, and Jono never goes backwards. Death only resets the current room, and each death leaves a gravestone behind, so the next player can see exactly where not to jump.

Taking your turn

When it is your turn, you control Jono for one minute. Then the next person in the queue takes over from exactly where you stopped, so nothing is lost between hands. The whole thing plays out live: while you wait, you watch the current player in real time. The waiting crowd has chat, emotes, a talking head you can make say something stupid, and a conga line to join. The shared setup is what makes it feel like a group effort rather than a solo run — you are all pushing the same hero further down the same road, one minute at a time.

Variety and cosmetics

The road never settles into one pattern, since the room types keep changing as you advance. Playing full sessions earns chests filled with hats, trails, effects and more, and you can send chests to other players. There is a level editor for building your own stages; built levels get placed on the journey ahead, and at least one player has to finish them. Daily and weekly leaderboards track how people are doing.

Before you start

Expect a long, slow collective climb rather than a quick finish — the question the game poses is how long one million levels will actually take. Your own skill matters for the minute you hold the controls, but the run continues with or without you, so dropping in for a short session still counts. Keep an eye on the gravestones when you take over, since they mark the mistakes of whoever held Jono before you.
