Crash landing and the goal

You play a representative of CRAFT & Co, selling automated fabrication tools across the galaxy, whose spacecraft goes down on a hostile planet. The tools you sell plus local resources become your survival kit. The end goal is concrete: build a rocket ship and leave. Everything else — digging, fighting, crafting, powering your base — feeds into that. Digging is fast, inventory space is infinite, and all crafting recipes are shown, so time goes into planning defenses rather than grinding or looking things up.

Playing with your group

The game supports online co-op, so friends can explore, dig and build the same world together. Split the work: some gather minerals and plants, some lay out walls and turrets, some handle the fights. There is also online PvP if your group would rather compete. Custom modes give you different starting conditions — Under the Sea drops you into a cave beneath a huge ocean, Sky World is a random world of hundreds of flying islands, and Base Defense removes exploration so it is only building and holding the line. Creative Mode produces all items for free, including tools that modify terrain or create water and lava, which is handy for setting up a shared playground.

Surviving the nights

This is survival in the strategic sense: no hunger meter, the real pressure is the massive attacks each night. Monsters pick the best path to your defenses and can break through walls even when they cannot walk through them, so placement matters as much as thickness. Difficulty only escalates through species you have already killed, so the group decides when to push for tougher enemies. The crashed ship's AI gives advice and can be given a drone body to follow you and help in fights.

Physics, water and power

Structures obey physics — build badly and they collapse. Water is simulated too: rain, infiltration, underground rivers and lakes mean heavy rain can raise levels suddenly and flood the base. Solar panels and hydroelectric generators power advanced items, and plants spread on their own when conditions allow, so farms with sun lamps and irrigation are worth setting up. The world is procedurally generated, with major areas fixed for progression but surface, cavern and ore layouts varying per playthrough. Hazardous Events can be switched on for Meteor Shower, Rain Flood, Earthquake, Volcano Eruption or Sharkstorm.
