A dark Arthurian tactics RPG
King Arthur: Knight's Tale is a hybrid of turn-based tactical battles and character-driven RPG management. You play as Sir Mordred, Arthur's killer, who was struck down by the dying king and then brought back by the Lady of the Lake. Your quest is to hunt down Arthur, now an undying mad king resurrected in Avalon, and end the curse turning Britannia into a nightmare. The game is played from an isometric view with grid-based movement on the battlefield.
Managing the Round Table
Between fights you run Camelot and its roster of heroes. Knights come from six classes: Defender, Champion, Marksman, Vanguard, Arcanist and Sage. You level them up, spend skill points, and equip gear looted from missions. Heroes can die, and injuries, curses and diseases take real time to heal, so Camelot needs the right facilities for recovery and you should rotate different heroes for different quests. Heroes are people, not stats: they have their own goals, rivalries, traits and bonds. They watch your decisions, and their loyalty can drop until they leave or turn against you. Settle disputes, grant favours, and pair heroes who work well together.
Choices and difficulty
Your own morality shifts on a chart between Christianity and Old Faith, and between Tyranny and Righteousness. These choices shape both the story and gameplay. Four difficulty modes run from relaxed storytelling to brutal battles, and Roguelite Mode removes reloads entirely, so combat moves and moral decisions both carry permanent weight. After the campaign you unlock an endgame with mythic boss fights, random quests and further progression, including the banishing of Balor. The Steam features list Online PvP alongside the singleplayer campaign.
