Building a Party of Heroes

Gordian Quest is a deckbuilding RPG where you assemble a party of three heroes and guide them through a cursed land. Ten heroes are available, each with a distinct class and playstyle: Swordhand, Cleric, Ranger, Scoundrel, Spellbinder, Druid, Bard, Warlock, Golemancer, and Monk. Battles are turn-based, and your heroes draw from a pool of close to 800 combined passive and active skills to pull off combos. Between fights, you can train and equip your team with weapons, armor, and enchanted trinkets, and gather items and relics to boost their abilities. The story follows your group as they work to unravel the curses laid upon the lands of Wrendia.

Playing Together

The main way to play together is Skirmish Mode, a 1v1 mode where you pit your party of three against a friend. Beyond that, you can compare runs across the other modes. Campaign Mode takes you through 4 Acts, from Westmire to the Sky Imperium. Realm Mode is a faster roguelite run with unpredictable threats and rewards, where you complete 5 realms or push an endless challenge. Adventure Mode is an end-game option with procedurally generated areas or solo challenges. Progress carries over through an Artifacts system that benefits Realm Mode, Campaigns, or Adventure Mode.

Before You Start

Runs are shaped by procedural maps, dungeons, and randomized hero skills, so no two playthroughs land the same. You will also make critical decisions and roll dice that change the course of the adventure. Pick your difficulty to match your group: hardcore mode brings permadeath, while a more casual setting treats death as a setback.
