Command Your Worm Army

Worms W.M.D is a turn-based artillery game where two or more teams of worms take turns moving across a 2D hand-drawn map and firing weapons at each other. The goal is to knock every enemy worm off the map or into the water until only your team remains. Each turn you can move your active worm, jump, and fire one weapon before the timer runs out and play passes to the next team. The landscape is fully destructible, so explosions carve out craters, open new paths, and can drop enemies into the sea below. With over 80 weapons and utilities available, you can choose between precision shots, heavy explosives, and utility items like bridges or ninja ropes to reach better positions. Weapons include the Holy Hand Grenade, Super Sheep, and Concrete Donkey.

Playing Together With Friends

Worms W.M.D supports online PvP, local play, and Remote Play Together, so you can bring friends into the fight regardless of where they are. In local and online matches you can take on up to five opponents in tactical combat, forming and breaking alliances as the battle unfolds. Ranked play is available for those who want competitive matches. The turn-based structure means everyone gets a fair shot each round, and the shared maps create plenty of opportunities for accidental self-destruction, like bazooking yourself into the sea. Remote Play Together lets a friend join your session even if they do not own the game.

Before You Start

The game includes 30 campaign levels you can play solo, plus Training Missions to practice your aim and Challenges to test your skills. Turn-based strategy matters as much as raw firepower: taking the high ground, tunneling to safety, or setting traps can win a match before a single shot is fired. The maps are hand-drawn and full of hazards, so watch your footing near cliffs and water. Combat includes gore effects, so keep that in mind if anyone in your group is sensitive to it. Matches can swing wildly on a single turn, so expect both clever plays and spectacular failures.
