Worms Armageddon in short

Worms Armageddon is a turn-based strategy game where two or more teams of worms take turns moving across a 2D map and firing weapons at each other. The goal is simple: be the last team with a living worm. The terrain is destructible, so blasts carve craters and change the field for everyone. The arsenal holds over 55 weapons and tools, including Earthquake, Freeze and the French Sheep Strike, and the game leans on physics to make shots land where you aim them.

Playing together

Online PvP is where the group fun happens. Each player runs a team of worms and takes turns, so everyone gets a moment to plan and a moment to watch the chaos unfold. The turn-based structure means you can chat between shots, argue over weapon choices and celebrate or groan at a misfire. Local Co-Op and Online Co-Op are also listed, so you can pair up with a friend rather than face them. The comedy tone keeps things light even when a well-placed shot wipes out your whole team.

Before you start

There is a single-player Deathmatch mode and a campaign of over 40 missions if you want to practice before facing friends. Five training modes cover specific skills: Sheep Racing, Crazy Crates and Advanced Weapon Training among them. Learning how the weapons behave and how the terrain reacts pays off in multiplayer, since a shot that misses can leave you exposed on your next turn. Expect a mix of careful planning and slapstick outcomes, and remember that the last worm standing wins the round.
