Two Screens, One Puzzle
Tick Tock: A Tale for Two is a point-and-click narrative adventure where you and a friend are trapped in an eerie world created by the clockmaker Amalie Ravn. Your goal is to escape a sinister clockwork place filled with secrets, but neither of you has the full picture. Each player sees different information, so the only way forward is to combine what is on both screens. The controls are simple and easy to pick up, while the puzzles grow increasingly complex and bizarre as time ebbs away.
Playing Together
This is a two-player game that requires a voice connection, whether you play in the same room or remotely. Since you cannot see each other's screen, you have to shout out instructions, describe what you see, and listen carefully to your partner. Communication is the core mechanic, and cooperation is key because going solo is not an option. The game supports cross-platform play, so you can pair up across Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, Android, or Mac. The average playtime is about 2.5 hours.
Before You Start
The game leans into psychological horror and mystery with an atmosphere inspired by Scandinavian fairy tales. Expect a hand-drawn world with eerie locations to explore, including an old clock shop, rooms with creaky floorboards, and a dark basement. While the game is tagged as family friendly, the setting is meant to feel sinister and unsettling. Make sure you have a reliable way to talk to your partner before you begin, as the puzzles cannot be solved without constant verbal coordination.
