Shape-shifting action RPG
Nobody Saves the World puts you in the role of a featureless Nobody who learns to transform into over 15 distinct Forms, from a Slug and a Ghost to a Rat, Rogue, Robot and Dragon. Each Form has its own gameplay mechanics, so switching between them changes how you fight and move through the world. You complete quests to unlock new Forms and swap between them freely. The game also lets you mix and match more than 80 Form abilities to build your own loadout, including odd combinations like an Egg that leaves a trail of slime and shoots fireballs. Quests come from the strange inhabitants of the world and each Form has its own set, some of which can be finished in creative ways.
Playing with a friend
You can explore the vast overworld with a friend online, or invite someone to join for all or part of your adventure. Both players work through the same shape-shifting dungeons and quests, combining their Forms and abilities to take on tougher challenges. The game also supports Remote Play Together, so a friend can join your session even if they do not own the game.
Dungeons that keep changing
Dungeons are procedurally generated and evolve as you grow stronger, increasing in difficulty and complexity. Beyond the main adventure there is an infinite, ever-changing endgame dungeon where you can unlock a new form and build a statue to mark your achievements. A New Game+ mode puts your Forms and abilities against leveled-up enemies and dungeons with remixed difficulty modifiers. The soundtrack is original music by composer Jim Guthrie.
