An old-school Action RPG with a big world
Secrets of Grindea is a top-down, pixel-art Action RPG that stands as a tribute to, and sometimes a parody of, the old SNES games many of us grew up with. You journey through fantastical lands and battle tons of different enemies and bosses in a quest for truth, friendship, and, above all, finding the world's rarest treasures. The world is rich, filled with more than 300 unique, colorful characters and an engaging story to drive your journey forward. Combat is built around hack-and-slash action, and there are over 30 epic boss fights waiting, from overgrown slimes and giant robots to mimics.
Playing together with your group
Co-op support is available for up to four players, so your whole group can enjoy the entire storyline together. You can also call someone in to help with the more difficult challenges when a section gets tough. Beyond the main story, there is plenty of side content to share: design your own home, fish, craft items, tame pets, take part in mini-games, and grow plants. This gives your group a good mix of combat and downtime when you want a break from the main story.
Build your character your way
Character customization is a core part of the game: design a character that represents you, then mix and match any of the 31 spells and skills across 9 different categories. This lets each player in your group settle into a build that suits how they like to play.
Arcade Mode for a different kind of run
Separate from Story Mode, the game includes a full roguelite version called Arcade Mode. Here you need to battle your way to the top on a single life, building a town of your own as you progress. It is a distinct experience from the story campaign, so keep it in mind if your group wants a run with a different structure.
