A gerbil and its exosuit

Wires and Whiskers is a local co-op action-puzzle game for two players. One of you controls a lab-engineered gerbil, the other its armed magnetic exosuit. The gerbil handles agile movement and melee dashes, while the exosuit covers long-range attacks and magnetic interactions. Together you fight mutated enemies, solve magnetic puzzles, and push through a ruined, post-apocalyptic trench world full of unstable tech. The whole run takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

Playing together

The split is built into the design: neither role can do everything alone. The gerbil closes the gap and dashes through melee, the exosuit stays back and picks off threats from range, and the magnetic systems need the exosuit's input to open paths. Expect to coordinate constantly, especially in fights where enemies close in fast and in puzzles where one of you has to hold or move something while the other acts. Remote Play Together is supported, so a friend can join from their own machine.

Before you start

Set aside an evening-length slot only if you want to replay it; a single run is short. This is a student project from ISART DIGITAL, made as a final year project by a team of nine, and the developers are openly collecting feedback and bug reports on their Discord. Go in expecting a compact, focused co-op experience rather than a long campaign.
