Design and program your own robots

Main Assembly puts you in the role of designer, engineer and architect. You build robots of any shape or size, from eight-legged spider bots to eerie UFO contraptions, and engineer each appendage with a powerful visual programming tool that dictates the bot's every move. The programming is optional, so you can jump in without writing code, but it is there when you want to push your creations further. Character customization is available, and the physics-driven sandbox means your designs get tested for real.

Build worlds and challenge your friends

Once your bot is finished, open the world builder and craft obstacle courses and racing tracks to test it. You can show off your designer skills with up to three friends, building worlds together to challenge each other's bots across different courses, or smash each other's creations into metallic pulp. It is a hands-on way to see whose design holds up and whose falls apart.

Test your inventions solo

If no friends are around, the single-player mode offers over 100 challenges to test your inventions. You can also take or add to the thousands of bots and worlds already created by fans around the globe. When you want to find the limits of your construction, the game gives you the space to do it — even if that means driving it off a cliff.
