Build a Living Landscape

Cascadia is a digital version of the tile-laying board game where you assemble a patchwork of habitats across the Pacific Northwest. Each turn, you pick one of four available pairs of a Habitat tile and a Wildlife token. You place the tile next to an existing one to grow your environment, then place the token on a habitat that can support that species. The goal is to shape the most harmonious ecosystem, scoring points for connected habitat corridors, wildlife patterns set by the scoring cards in that game, and any Nature tokens you have left unspent. Nature tokens come from populating Keystone tiles and give you more options when choosing tiles and tokens later.

Ways to Play Together

You can compete online against other players, or sit together on one device with local pass-and-play. Family Mode simplifies the scoring objectives, which is useful when you want a lighter round. Beyond head-to-head play, the game includes 15 Solo Scenarios with unique setups, 14 Challenges with specific goals, and a Daily Trek that presents three objective-based challenges each day. Whether you go it alone or bring friends along, the turn structure stays the same: choose a tile and token pair, place them, and build toward the scoring goals for that game.

Before You Start

The core loop is easy to pick up but rewards planning ahead. Watch which habitat tiles and wildlife tokens are available each turn, since you only get four combinations to choose from. Building large connected corridors of a single habitat type earns steady points, while holding onto Nature tokens can open up better picks on future turns. Wildlife scoring changes with the cards used in each game, so read those before committing to a species strategy. The included tutorial walks through the turn steps if you want a guided start.
