What Carcassonne - Tiles & Tactics is

This is the official adaptation of the tile-placement board game Carcassonne, built in 3D by Artefacts Studio. On your turn you draw a tile showing a piece of southern French landscape — a city, a road, a cloister, grassland, or a mix of these — and place it next to tiles already on the board. The edges have to match up: cities connect to cities, roads to roads. After placing, you may put one of your Meeples on an area of that tile. A Meeple works as a knight in a city, a robber on a road, a monk at a cloister, or a farmer on the grass. When an area is finished, its owner scores points for it. Every game builds a different landscape, so the board never plays out the same way twice.

Playing it with your group

Online multiplayer gives you public games with players from anywhere, private games where you invite your own friends, and ranked games with leaderboards. There is a chat and a lobby to sort out who is joining what. If you are sitting in the same room, Pass & Play lets you share one device and take turns on it. Remote Play Together is also supported, so someone can join from their own setup. The turns stay quick: you place one tile and optionally one Meeple, so the game keeps moving even though each decision carries weight. The real tension comes from choosing between growing your own city or dropping a tile next to an opponent to make their goal harder to finish.

Before you start

The digital version adds a few things the physical game does not have. A field view shows which player holds each field, which matters because farmers keep scoring until the end. A remaining tile list shows what is still in the draw pile, so you can plan around what might come up. The board flags blocked locations once a tile is placed, saving you from hunting for a spot that does not exist. Five expansions add new tiles, Meeples and rules, and The Abbot is included free. A solo mode is there for when nobody else is around. The interface is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
