Keep the Home Safe for Three Minutes

3 Minute Heroes is a real-time strategy game that mixes tower defense, deck building and roguelite runs. Waves of monsters push toward your home, and you deal with them by putting champions on the field and playing cards at the right moment. A run is made up of 12 rounds, and each round lasts three minutes. Your job in every round is straightforward: survive what the field sends at you. Monsters and bosses come from six factions — slimes, goblins, ghosts, golems, demons and dragons — and each faction brings different patterns to read and react to. You can pause the game to think things through, so a round never has to become a panic click.

The hero pool is the real engine of the deck. There are 20 heroes, each with its own skill and its own cards, and you pick two others to join yours on the field. That combination decides how a round plays out, since different heroes change the feel of your defense entirely. The Warrior's Training Journal explains what each hero is good at before you commit. Card play goes further than just spending cards: combining triple hero cards makes your heroes stronger, and the deck you draw is limited to the heroes you chose, so you are not buried under 400-plus cards at once. That keeps a match readable for a newcomer while still leaving skilled players plenty to optimise.

Build the Deck Between Waves

Between rounds you get to choose one of three rewards to upgrade the deck, and there is a card remodelling system that adds keywords to cards to make them stronger. The "Combo" keyword, for example, repeats the number of times a card was played that round, while "Guardian" makes the targets of a card invincible. Loot is the other half of the build. Enemies drop loot that depends on the heroes you picked, and you click the drops to switch on their effects; "Adjust loots" lets you add new loot or raise the chance of drops you already have. On top of that, the game tracks your three most common actions each round and watches whether you meet those conditions, firing off reward effects automatically once you do. There are 20 conditions and 60 rewards behind that system, so a deck usually ends up leaning in one direction rather than staying generic.

Modes for a Solo Run or a Crowd

The main run works as a singleplayer challenge, but there are several other ways to spend your time. The Great Invasion is a hard mode with special cards that only show up there, and the 10 Extreme Stages stack altars that appear randomly and last 30 seconds — your heroes can be stunned, or enemies can triple in rate, and the altar count climbs as the stage level rises, reaching 50 altars by the end. Arena is an asynchronous auto-battler mode where you fight other players using the same underlying system as 3 Minute Heroes, with over 50 synergies and over 100 arena quest effects to build around. Clearing rounds earns clover, which you spend to upgrade your heroes, and clearing certain conditions unlocks each hero's story through the saga of heroes. All of it sits in a 2D package, so a group can decide quickly which run, mode or character to chase.
