A turn-based physics fighter

Toribash is a turn-based fighting game where you control every joint of your character's body. Each joint has four possible states, so the number of moves you can set up is nearly endless. Instead of reacting in real time, you plan a sequence of joint positions and then watch the physics play out. The result is a martial arts simulator where fights rarely look the same twice, and full body dismemberment is part of the experience.

Playing with your group

Toribash supports online PvP, so your group can fight each other directly. Because the game is turn-based, you take your time setting up each move before committing, which makes it easy to play together even if your group's reaction times differ. You can also trade items with friends through the open market, or simply give items away for free. Character customization is extensive, covering body colors, textures, flames, hair and more, so everyone can make their fighter look distinct before a session.

Before you start

Expect a steep learning curve. The tag list includes "Difficult," and mastering how joints interact under physics takes practice. The built-in Mod Maker lets you modify both the environment and characters, and there are hundreds of game mods available, so your group can change how matches play. The game is free to play and includes gore and full body dismemberment, so keep that in mind before inviting the whole server. Daily knockout tournaments are hosted by the Event Squad if your group wants something structured beyond casual fights.
