What Gladio and Glory is

Gladio and Glory is a physics-driven gladiator game built around ragdoll combat and swordplay. Fights are simulated rather than scripted, so swings carry momentum, bodies tumble, and limbs come off. The combat is deliberately unforgiving: a well-placed hit can end a fight in one blow, and the same is true for you. The game is in Early Access and tagged as singleplayer, though it also carries an Online PvP feature.

Playing with your group

The arena supports big brawls, both as team fights and free-for-all, and you can set up lopsided matchups like a single fighter against fifty. You can grab opponents and shove them onto traps in the environment, or use the force of your swings to throw people into lethal positions. Bosses and unique enemies show up alongside regular opponents, so a group run mixes crowd fights with tougher individual encounters. There is a leaderboard to climb as you win.

Before you start

Expect a steep difficulty curve. The game warns outright that it is actually difficult, and that misjudging a fight or reacting too slowly gets your head separated from your body. Dying means losing the Glory you have collected and starting over, so treat each duel as something to read carefully rather than mash through. Between fights you can customise and upgrade your gladiator, which is where the strategy sits: build your fighter, then learn how to dodge, bait, and catch enemies off-guard instead of spamming attacks. The game includes gore, dismemberment, and violent content, so keep that in mind before handing a controller to anyone sensitive to it.
