A Town Waiting for the Yawhg
The Yawhg is a choose-your-own-adventure game where the evil Yawhg is returning. You follow the locals as they live their lives while the threat grows, and then see what they do when it finally arrives. The story is randomized, so each playthrough builds a different version of the town and its events. The fate of the community hangs on what the characters do and what you decide for them. Emily Carroll's artwork sets the mood, and Ryan Roth's soundtrack runs underneath the whole thing.
Playing With Your Group
This works for one to four players. You can play it alone or with friends, taking turns or sharing the choices as the story unfolds. Every decision matters, and the world reacts to what you pick, so actions can have dire consequences for the characters. With Remote Play Together, people can join in even when they are not in the same room. It fits a group that wants to talk through options together and argue over which path to take.
Before You Start
Each run is short, and the story reshuffles every time, so one sitting gives you a complete arc and a reason to come back for another. There are over 50 unique endings that can happen to every character, which means the outcome you get is rarely the one you expect. Nothing carries over between runs; the reset is the point. Go in ready to make calls quickly and live with them, since the game keeps its own record of what you chose and where it led.
