A dating sim at the end of the world

Doomsday Paradise is a goofy dating sim where the goal is simple: get a date before the apocalypse hits. You hang out with a cast of absurdly beautiful hunks and hunkettes, including a vampire who thinks he has magic powers, a monster girl who loves Halloween without knowing when it is, and the Spider Queen herself if you want to lean into your villainous side. The game lists 13 hot singles looking for love, and the short description counts 12 different singles to woo. Alongside the romance, there is turn-based combat, so you are not only picking dialogue options — you are also fighting your way through enemies and bosses while you court people.

Playing it with your group

Bring in some friends and the whole thing gets louder. Everyone's choices feed into the shared narrative, so the more people you add, the more chaotic and interesting the run becomes. You can team up to take on demons, or turn on each other and sabotage your friends to claim the title of Legendary Hero. Online co-op, online PvP and Remote Play Together are all supported, so your group can play together whether you are coordinating or competing. Expect the story to swing wildly depending on who pushes which option when.

Before you start a run

This is built to be replayed. There are over 400 goofy scenarios and 120 different endings, plus enemies, bosses and costumes to unlock along the way — the short description puts the endings at over 130. Runs are designed so no two play out the same, which means the first game is really just a sample of what the branching can do. It is dialogue heavy with choose-your-own-adventure style decisions, dark humor running through the writing, and a casual pace that suits a group chatting over choices rather than sweating over mechanics. Go in expecting to argue with your friends about who gets the date, and expect the apocalypse to be the least of your problems.
