A prison game played with a Banana Gun

Orange Roulette puts you in the skin of an orange locked in a prison hell, picked for a deadly game run by the Apples. Your goal is simple to say and hard to do: survive long enough to get shipped to safer markets. The whole thing runs on a Banana Gun with six chambers. One chamber holds a single explosive seed pod, and as the gun ripens the cylinder cycles counterclockwise on its own until it lands on the chamber with the pod. When it does, seeds and banana fruit fire out at high velocity, which is lethal if you are in range. You can also pull the trigger yourself and get the same effect, though the store text warns that you should peel back the end of the muzzle first to avoid a backfire. The Apples pick the guns just before ripeness for exactly this reason.

How a group plays it together

The game carries a Local Multiplayer tag and supports Remote Play Together, so friends can join in from their own machines while playing on one session. That fits the tone: a shared, tense round where everyone watches the cylinder turn and decides when to risk pulling the trigger. Remote Play Together means the group does not need everyone to own the game to take part in the same room of the prison. Expect the local multiplayer side to be the social part of the experience, with the group reacting to each choice as the seed pod moves around the six chambers.

What to know before starting

Orange Roulette is tagged as an Action Roguelike with Perma Death and Multiple Endings, so runs are meant to end badly more often than not, and how far you get shapes which ending you reach. The tone is dark humor wrapped around gore and violence, with a cartoony 3D look and a psychological horror streak underneath. It is listed as a Singleplayer game as well, so you can play the whole thing on your own when nobody is around. Genre-wise it blends Action, Simulation and Strategy, and the tags add Survival, Third Person and Strategy on top. The store text also notes that Banana Guns grow on trees, and that this is how orange juice is made.
