A shotgun on the table
Buckshot Roulette is a first-person game where you play Russian roulette with a 12-gauge shotgun. You take a seat at a table in an underground nightclub, with metal railings pulsing to the beats of forgotten drum machines, and go three rounds against The Dealer. He plays the odds the same way you do, with no tricks. A single run takes about 15 to 20 minutes: enter the arena, play your rounds, and walk away with the prize. Or don't. The Steam release also adds new items and a Double or Nothing mode where you press your luck and see how long you can last.
Four seats, one winner
The multiplayer table seats four players. You bargain, beg, and betray your way through the rounds until one person walks away rich. The short version of the pitch is blunt: four enter, one leaves. Online PvP puts you across the table from people you know or strangers, and the social side matters as much as the odds. The game also carries a singleplayer tag, so you can sit down against The Dealer on your own when no one else is around.
Before you sit down
The tone is dark and psychological, with gore, horror, and experimental edges. It is tagged as psychological horror, surreal, and gambling, and the FPS view puts the shotgun right in front of you. Expect a short, tense session rather than a long campaign, and expect the outcome to hinge on reading the odds and reading the other players. The soundtrack by Mike Klubnika ships with the Steam edition: seven tracks, no misses.
