Defending a twisted 3D realm
No Creeps Were Harmed TD is a strategy game where you place turrets, traps, and gadgets to stop waves of evolving creeps. The battlefield is a strange, colorful place made of shattered planets, bridges, and platforms that twist into mind bending shapes. Fighting happens from above, below, on walls, and even on the ceiling, since gravity is only a suggestion here. Every bullet, bomb, beam, and blaster is simulated in three dimensions, so turrets need line-of-sight to fire. Mortars lob shells over huge distances, shotgun turrets spray bullets that can hit unintended targets, and sniper turrets camp from afar for head-shots.
Building your maze and choosing turrets
You can wall up the battlefield into a meat grinding maze and pick from a wide set of specialized structures. Mortars and Sniper Turrets rain destruction from afar, while Pounders and Shotgun Turrets splatter creeps up close. Boosters and Hexers slow enemies to a crawl, and Lasers and Flame Turbines fry whatever gets close. The creeps are built to break your plans: Porters teleport across long hallways, Fusers combine into super creeps, and others come with cloaking devices, adaptive armor, bubble shields, or the ability to make more creeps. Suicide Boomers and Brutes can trash your turrets and reduce your fortress to ruin, so you need to adapt as the swarm changes.
Playing together and pushing your luck
The game supports online co-op, so you and a friend can build a complex maze together, repair and tune turrets, and min-max your defenses as the run goes on. You can also speed up spawn rates by rushing waves, which awards more resources for building more turrets and rushing even more creeps. If the swarm gets too overpopulated, though, they mutate into evolved forms. Do well enough and you may discover strange artifacts that distort the laws of physics, modifying stats from income rates and armor to bullet velocity and explosive force. Artifacts are unique and persistent, and you can earn more by playing any map in endless mode. You also act as a moving super turret, repositioning yourself, upgrading your personal weapons, and calling down special abilities like the Genocide Air Strike or the Vortex Bomb.
