A top-down shooter with tower defense at its core

Cluckmech Oasis is a top-down shooting roguelike tower defense game where you play as the Warcluck and lead a team of animal heroes through waves of plant enemies. The loop is simple to grasp: shoot, collect, build, upgrade, survive. Each run gives you a fresh map to work with, and you place defenses anywhere you like, then shape the enemy's route around what you've built. The game leans into its wacky animal world, so expect odd creatures and unexpected turns between the desert and glacier biomes.

Playing together as a group

Online Co-op is supported, so you and your friends can team up as the Animal Crusaders and take on the waves together. Each character brings something different to the fight: the Warcluck brings firepower, the Mouscle lays traps, and other heroes have their own skills and tactics. Splitting roles across the group lets you cover more ground, with some players handling direct combat while others focus on placement and upgrades. Coordination matters more than raw reflexes here, since where you build shapes how the whole team survives the wave.

What to know before starting

There are over 100 defensive structures and 300+ upgrade paths, which means a lot of combinations to experiment with across runs. The game is roguelike and roguelite with perma death, so runs are meant to be replayed and each playthrough can push you toward a different strategy. Procedural generation keeps maps unpredictable, and the mix of tower defense, building, survival, and shooting means you are managing both placement and aim at the same time. Expect a colorful, pixel-art 2D presentation with a humorous tone rather than a serious one.
