Climbing out of the Nine Circles
Hellstuck: Rage With Your Friends is a precise 2D pixel platformer where you start in the deepest part of Hell and the only way out is up. Your character can jump, move left and right, and nothing else in that direction — progress is a straight vertical climb through the 9 Circles of Hell. The controls are deliberately tiny: left, right, jump, plus alt and F4. Everything difficult about the game comes from how those few inputs interact with the level design rather than from a long list of moves to learn.
Playing together online
This is an online co-op game for up to 10 players, so you and your group can be in the same climb at the same time. The pitch is right there in the subtitle: rage with your friends. Everyone shares the same punishing ascent, and the store text frames it as a race as much as a shared escape — whether you can beat your friends and make it out first. Expect a session where the group laughs at each other's failures as much as it celebrates the runs that finally stick.
What to expect before you start
One missed jump can send you falling a long way back down, which is the core of the experience. This is tagged as difficult and as a precision platformer, so deaths are frequent and progress is measured in small, hard-won gains. The tone runs on dark humor and a medieval, atmospheric setting — hellish rather than cozy, with horror and souls-like tags alongside the jokes. It presents itself as a punishing game you endure for the fun of enduring it together, so go in ready to fail repeatedly and to find that funny instead of frustrating.
