What Pogostuck is about

Pogostuck: Rage With Your Friends is a short but very demanding platformer about climbing a surreal mountain on a pogo stick. You tilt the character, jump, build momentum, and use 360° powerboosts to reach heights that look impossible at first. The game is inspired by Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, so expect a lot of trial, error, and small wins that feel earned. Alongside the main climb, there are several distinct modes: The Root Of All Evil takes you across a vast island with long and short diverging routes where you pick your own path, The Monolith Of Perseverance drops you into a 1000 meters deep chasm to climb out, and Loot With Your Friends sends you into randomly generated dungeons where you fight enemies with a pogo stick gun and double jump across lava pits. There is also a skating mode where you can ride for fun or chain tricks into minute-long combos.

Playing together

Automatic matchmaking drops you into a session with friends and strangers for up to 16 players, so you are rarely climbing alone. Tethered To Your Friends adds a rubber band co-op mode for 2-16 players, where you stay linked to whoever you are riding with. Loot With Your Friends supports 1-4 player co-op for dungeon runs aimed at loot and highscores. You can customize your character with unlockable gear, and leaderboards and live rankings are there if you want to chase them.

Before you start

This is a precision platformer tagged as difficult, so expect repeated falls and long stretches of practice on the same stretch of mountain. The climb is short, but the difficulty is the point. Some modes are single-player or co-op, others are competitive, so check what your group wants before you queue up.
