Grab and Swing
Heave Ho is a 2D physics platformer where your character only has hands to work with. You reach out, grab onto platforms and other players, and swing your way across the map. The physics make every movement wobbly and unpredictable, so a chain of players hanging together is a constant balancing act. The goal is to get your team across the level, but the slightest slip can send anyone falling into the void or onto spikes.
Playing Together
The game supports up to four players. In co-op, you work as a team to cross increasingly difficult maps by forming chains and swinging from each other. Communication and timing matter more than speed, since letting go at the wrong moment drops the whole chain. If the co-op gets too frustrating, there is a separate versus mode with 20 exclusive levels where you can turn on your teammates instead. You can play locally on the couch, or online through Steam Remote Play.
Before You Start
Pick a base character and dress them up with accessories, though these are purely cosmetic and do not affect the physics or help you avoid falling. Expect a steep difficulty curve as the maps get more devilish, and expect distractions along the way, including impenetrable clouds of camel gas. The game runs on controller, which suits the grab-and-swing controls.
