What Pummel Party is
Pummel Party is a party game for 4 to 8 players, played online or together on one screen. It mixes a board mode with a collection of minigames, and you can also jump straight into minigames without the board. The tone is silly and chaotic: you hit each other with absurd items, knock people off ledges, and generally try to come out on top while friendships take a beating. Bots are built in, so you can fill empty slots with AI or practice on your own when nobody else is around.
Playing together
Groups can compete online or locally on the same screen, and the game supports 1 to 8 players in either setup. In board mode everyone moves across hazardous terrain, picks up weapons and items, and uses them against each other to secure the win. Items range from a straightforward Punching Glove to a Remote Controlled Eggplant, and the point is to deploy them however you can to stop the other players. Minigames break the session into short rounds with different rules: Snowy Spin has you knocking rivals into the abyss, Sandy Search has you digging in three dimensions to reach treasure first, and Explosive Exchange means you do not want to be holding the bomb when it goes off. If you would rather skip the board entirely, minigame mode drops you straight into the action.
Before you start
Expect a competitive game where the fun comes from messing with the people you are playing with, so it suits a group that does not mind losing in ridiculous ways. The game includes gore among its tags, which is worth knowing before you play with anyone sensitive to that. Controller support is listed, and full bot integration means the roster can be topped up with AI at any player count, whether you are short on people or just want to practice. Decide up front whether you are playing online or locally, since that determines how you get everyone into the same session.
