A co-op card battler built for two
Duo Quest is a turn-based card game made for you and one friend. You play as two adventurers fighting monsters across an 8-bit fantasy world, working together to take down the Demon King and his invention, the Bondbreaker. Your main weapon is Duo Energy, which grows stronger the better you two cooperate. Along the way you build a shared deck, pick up Artifacts that change how you play, and unlock new cards with every run.
Battles are won by knowing each other
Fights are driven by questions. The game holds over 1000 questions across more than 20 themes, and you and your partner have to match your answers to damage enemies. The questions are quirky and personal, so the game doubles as a way to learn things about the person you are playing with. Choosing the right question theme matters: good picks unlock powerful combo cards, so picking what to ask is part of the strategy, not just filler between fights.
An ever-changing run to replay
Levels are procedurally generated, so no two runs follow the same map. You take randomized routes toward boss battles and can replay levels to hunt for secrets and cards you missed. Between runs you unlock hundreds of cards and five classes, each with its own card set, so you can shape a deck that fits how you and your partner like to play. Artifacts found during a run add further twists and let you bend odds in your favor.
Before you start
Duo Quest is built strictly for co-op, so you need a friend or partner to play with. It is aimed at gamers and non-gamers alike, with easy-to-pick-up rules, which makes it a reasonable pick if one of you does not play games often. Remote Play Together is supported, so you can share a session with someone who does not own the game. Expect a mix of card strategy and conversation, where your answers to personal questions directly decide how fights go.
