A compact RTS with tower defence

D.O.T. Defence is a simplified real-time strategy game where you build towers, muster armies, and take territory on a 2D map. The economy is streamlined, battles run mostly on automation with light commands, and upgrades are kept simple, so the focus stays on placement and timing rather than micromanagement. Matches last between 5 and 10 minutes, and the single goal is to keep your own HQ alive while destroying the enemy's. The visual style is minimalist and cartoony, with pixel graphics.

Playing together locally

Local multiplayer is the group mode: you can set up 1v1, 2v2, or free-for-all matches against friends on the same machine, with AI bots filling any open slots. The bots come at varying difficulties, and one of them cheats. Remote Play Together is supported, so others can join over that feature as well. AI opponents are also available for single-player matches if the group wants a warm-up round first.

The Chroma Wars campaign

The single-player campaign covers the Chroma Wars across 25 missions split into three campaigns, running 8+ hours. You start in the ranks of the U.C.F., move into the Zombonomics of Chromatech, and finish terraforming the planet as the Invaders, all revolving around Chroma, a volatile energy source. Mission types rotate between traditional wave defence and commander vs commander battles, stealth missions, speed run attacks, army deployment puzzles, and boss mode rampages where you play as the attacking force.

Wave Defence and turret play

Wave Defence drops you into protecting your HQ with turrets and production buildings while expanding territory gradually and gathering supplies to upgrade regions. Turret Mayhem is a separate mode where your regions drive your economy and you defend them with turrets against enemies trying to seize your resources. Each turret type is a strategic choice, and you can sell them as the situation changes. A merchant may turn up offering tile mods for your buildings.

Commander mode and what to expect

Commander Fantasy gives you macro-level control: set paths for units or let them capture points on their own. There is also a Global Domination mode described as 4X lite, played on a persistent map where territories carry over, biomes shift during battle, technologies unlock, and faction powers interact with the environment. Expect a game that blends fast RTS with tower defence rather than a deep unit-control sim, and note that the AI difficulty range includes a cheater.
