Blast your way through the maze

Bouboum is a multiplayer bomber-hamster game where you place explosives to clear tiles, cut off escape routes and knock out rivals. Matches happen in maze-like levels built on a grid, and the play area shrinks over time, so the safe ground keeps getting smaller until only one animal is left standing. Levels are procedurally generated, which means each round gives you a different layout to read and work with.

Playing as a group

Everyone drops into the same arena and fights in real time against other hamsters and assorted animals. Survival is the goal: you move through the maze, blow up tiles and enemies, and try to be the last one alive. Since the field keeps closing in, staying mobile matters as much as attacking, and being trapped early ends your run fast.

Playing patiently pays off

Rushing in usually gets you caught in your own blast. Watching the board, waiting for openings and collecting the items scattered around the map is the more reliable approach. Pickups can turn a round in your favor, including transformations that make you a vampire or a zombie with enhanced abilities, plus classic hazards like a banana peel to send an enemy sliding to their doom. Each round also drops Hazelnuts when tiles get blown up, and those collectibles unlock new characters: dogs, cats, pandas, deer, foxes and dragons.

Before you start

The match is online PvP against other players in real time, with 2D pixel graphics and grid-based movement, so positioning on the grid decides a lot about whether a blast reaches you. It is family friendly and free to play, sitting in the casual strategy corner rather than being a long, involved campaign. Expect short rounds where reading the layout quickly and picking off power-ups gives you the edge.
