Toy Smash Kaboom! is a card battler and auto battler set on a tabletop. You arrange toys into slots on your desk, combine rare units, and evolve them into a legion that fights for you. The game gives you over 400 toys to work with: 100+ summons that clash in battle, 50+ traps and class abilities, and 250+ magic items and weapons to power up combos. Every slot on the table is a decision, so layout matters as much as which units you bring.
Battles are not just about stats. Your toys charge into enemies and knock them back, and a well-timed hit can send opponents flying and flip the fight. Traps sit on the table and break enemy momentum, giving you room to strike back. The result is a chaotic cartoon brawl where positioning and timing decide the outcome.
Play Against Other People's Builds
The game has online PvP through asynchronous matches. Your legion fights against builds made by other players around the world, so you face different layouts and strategies rather than a fixed opponent. Mirror matches let you study a build, adapt your own arrangement, and optimize for the next round. You climb ranks as you refine your approach.
You also pick a toy captain, and each one brings a distinct arsenal and class abilities. Doll Chef controls space and fortifies positions for defensive play. Dr. Hamster leads a swarm of tiny units to overwhelm with numbers. Puppet Musician speeds up allies and disrupts enemies to set the tempo. Naughty Andy summons ghosts, skeletons, reapers, and dark curses. Frost Hunter commands wild beasts and water magic. Your captain shapes how the whole army plays.
What to Know Before Starting
Steam friends can be turned into armed "Game Buddy" units, customized with weapons and attributes, and added to your army. Achievements, hero skins, and hidden toy memories unlock through a pop-up storybook that tells the tales of Fred and his childhood friends. The game tags include Singleplayer, so you can play on your own as well as in asynchronous PvP. Expect a mix of inventory management, deckbuilding, and roguelite elements as you assemble and refine your legion.
