What Bopl Battle is
Bopl Battle is a 2D fighter where you play as a goofy slime and fight your friends with wild abilities. Rounds end when one slime is left standing. The abilities are the heart of it: a shrink ray, a growth ray that permanently enlarges anything it hits (arrows, grenades, other players, even the stage), black holes that can swallow the whole stage, stopping time while your enemies sit frozen so you can set up a deadly situation, flammable smoke you can cover the stage in, and a rocket engine you can bolt onto platforms to send them flying. You can also grab the stage itself and move it around. The hand-drawn, colorful look keeps the chaos readable even when the whole stage is on fire.
Playing together
This is a multiplayer game with no singleplayer mode and no bots, so you need real people in the lobby. Play locally on the couch or use the built-in online matchmaking. Local play supports up to four players, and there is a team vs team mode where you cooperate with a partner to push the combos further — one example from the game is combining create platform, control platform, and attach a big sword onto the platform, or pairing flammable smoke with a thrown grenade and turning into an invincible rock. Remote Play Together is available if someone wants to join from elsewhere.
Before you start
Only one player can use keyboard and mouse per computer, so everyone else playing locally needs controllers. The game contains flashing lights that may be unsuitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitive conditions; player discretion is advised.
