What A Robot Named Fight! is
A Robot Named Fight! is a 2D Metroidvania roguelike built around exploration and item collection. You play a lone robot trying to stop the Megabeast, a moon-sized lump of flesh, eyes and mouths that has dropped its children onto the world like a plague. The mechanical gods left ages ago, so it falls to the lower order robots to deal with it. Each run drops you into a procedurally generated labyrinth with more than 4 billion unique layouts, so the route, the secrets and the pickups are never the same twice. Permadeath is real: when you go down, that run is over and the next labyrinth is fresh.
Playing it with friends
The game supports local co-op, so you and a friend can take on the over 60 enemies side by side. Split screen and 4 player local modes are listed among the tags, and Remote Play Together is available if you want to bring someone in over the internet while they watch and control from their own machine. Co-op does not change the core loop: you still explore the labyrinth together, split up to cover more ground, and pool what you find to reach areas that were out of reach a moment ago. Playing with a controller is the intended setup, and you can use whichever one you prefer.
Before you start
Expect a run-based structure rather than a single fixed campaign. Power-ups and artifacts are randomized, so each attempt hands you a different set of tools and you have to work with what turns up instead of planning around a known build. More than 80 unique items means the traversal options shift constantly: new gear opens paths, walls and obstacles that were dead ends earlier. Secrets are tucked into the labyrinth, so backtracking through rooms you already cleared is part of the fun. Achievements unlock extra content as you go, which gives you reasons to come back after a failed run. The tone is deliberately gory — meaty creatures explode in large amounts — so keep that in mind before playing with anyone who would rather not watch it.
