A robot and a frog in one body
Shoulders of Giants: Ultimate is a third-person action roguelike where you control a sword-wielding robot and a gunslinging space frog at the same time. The forces of Entropy are corrupting living planets and pushing the universe toward heat death, and a team of space survivors led by the psychic Owl is fighting back. You cut through waves of enemies on procedurally generated levels, restoring light and life to shattered worlds as you go.
Playing together
You can play solo, or team up with a friend online, with one of you taking the frog and the other taking the robot. The game also supports four-player online co-op, so a full group can take on the forces of Entropy together. Since both characters are controlled at once, coordination matters: mixing melee slashes with gunfire is the core of how fights play out.
What to know before starting
Runs are built from randomized levels, so no two playthroughs line up the same way. Pickups range from grappling hooks to glowing grenades, and each one can change your power and playstyle, letting you mix and match abilities into a moveset of your own. Expect quick bursts of combat where you explore, grow, and become overpowered over the course of a run.
