Command giant robots across a living battlefield
Zero-K is a real-time strategy game where you build armies from a roster of more than 100 distinct units. You construct giant robots, swarm enemies with a thousand Fleas, or reshape the ground itself to gain an advantage. The simulation runs on physics for both units and projectiles, so small, quick units can dodge slow shots, hills block line of sight and radar, and gravity guns can toss enemy machines across the map. Terrain is not fixed: craters can bog down tanks, you can dig canals to bring submarines inland, and you can build ramps, bridges, or a full fortress.
Play the campaign solo or with friends
The galaxy-spanning campaign has more than 70 missions you can run alone or co-op with friends. Along the way you discover new technologies. Outside the campaign, the skirmish AI is designed to be challenging without cheating, and a survival mode pits you and your allies against waves of chicken-monsters. Your commander can be customized with choices like cloaking or resurrection before you drop into a mission.
Jump into multiplayer battles
Multiplayer runs from fast 1v1 ladder matches and tournaments up to 16v16 team battles, plus FFA and cooperative modes against AI or the chicken-monster waves, across hundreds of maps. The game includes ladders, replays, spectators, and tournaments. There are no paid advantages, so multiplayer stays even. Camera, queueing, and unit control have no limits: paint any shape and units move into that formation, set construction priorities for your builders, or order units to kite, strafe, and zig-zag on their own. One note before you start: PlanetWars, the online campaign with diplomacy and backstabbing, is on hiatus pending an overhaul.
