What Wizards in Shorts is

Wizards in Shorts is a first-person arena shooter where everyone plays a wizard in shorts. Rounds are short and quick, and the last player alive takes the win. You fight with spells instead of guns: fireballs, electricity, puffer fish, and mysterious blue orbs, with more than 10 spells in total to pick from. The tone is comedic, so expect silly projectiles flying across the map rather than tactical realism.

Playing together as a group

Lobbies hold 2 to 6 players online, so a full Discord group can jump into the same match. Everyone picks their spells, loads into one of the 15+ levels, and fights until only one wizard is left standing. Because rounds are fast, a group can cycle through matches quickly and swap who comes out on top each time. Online PvP is the core of it — you are there to blast each other, not to team up against AI.

Movement and maps

Movement is a big part of how the game plays. You can bhop and rocket jump around the maps, which means speed and positioning matter as much as your aim. Learning how to chain jumps and use the vertical space on each level will keep you alive longer than standing still and trading shots. The arenas are built for this kind of movement, so expect fights that move across the map instead of settling in one corner.

Before you start

It is free to play, so the whole group can install it and get into a lobby without anyone being left out. There is no single-player campaign mentioned — this is a multiplayer game first, so you will want your friends online to get the most out of it. Give yourself a round or two to figure out which spells suit your style, since the spell choice you bring into the arena shapes how you fight.
