What Wizards is about
Wizards is a turn-based artillery game where you play a wizard dueling other wizards across destructible, randomly generated terrain. The core loop is simple: pick a spell, line up your shot, and let physics do the rest. The spell list covers a lot of ground — fireballs to blast opponents away, ice to freeze them in place, and even summoning the undead to fight for you. Because the terrain is generated fresh each match and the spell combinations are wide open, every round plays out differently. The game is in Early Access, so expect things to change over time.
Playing with your group
You can fight your friends directly in one-on-one duels, or queue up for a matchmade round where you team up with others. Either way, the goal is to tactically outplay the opposing side using your chosen spells. The game supports both online co-op and online PvP, so your group can split into teams or go at each other depending on the mood. The cartoony, family-friendly art style keeps things light even when someone gets launched off a cliff by a fireball.
Before you start
Wizards is free to play, so there's no barrier to getting your group into a match. It's tagged as casual and strategy at the same time — easy to pick up, but with enough spell variety and terrain unpredictability to reward thinking ahead. As an Early Access title from a solo developer, it's still being worked on, so content and balance may shift. The physics-based combat means wild shots and unexpected outcomes are part of the fun rather than a bug.
