A Stick-Figure Wild West Comedy

West of Loathing is a single-player adventure RPG set in the wild west of the Kingdom of Loathing universe, drawn entirely in black and white with hand-drawn stick-figure graphics. You traverse snake-infested gulches, punch skeletons wearing cowboy hats, grapple with demon cows, and investigate disgusting spittoons. The world is full of quests, puzzles, mysteries, and thousands of jokes, gags, and goofs. Despite the store text describing a colorful cast of characters, the game itself is rendered in black and white.

Choosing Your Path

Before heading out, you pick a class that shapes how you handle trouble. The Snake Oiler talks their way out of scrapes with silver-tongued persuasion. The Beanslinger plumbs the refried mysteries of the cosmos. The Cow Puncher lets their fists do the talking. Along the way you customize your stick-figure appearance, collect hats from a selection of over 50, and visit disreputable saloons across several gulches.

Playing Together

West of Loathing is built as a single-player experience, so one person drives the story, makes the choices, and explores the open world. It supports Remote Play Together, which lets friends watch and join in over a stream while the main player controls the game. Choices matter throughout, so your group can weigh in on decisions as you go, and the turn-based combat only triggers when you want it to.
