What Wee Tanks! is
Wee Tanks! is a colorful tank shooter where you drive, shoot and blow things up. The campaign runs to 100 missions in the classic mode, and there are hundreds of maps to work through. Enemies come in more than 30 variants, and bosses show up to make things harder. Beyond the campaign there is a zombie survival mode, multiplayer Soccer and Team Deathmatch, so the shooting does not stop at the story missions. The tone is light and cartoony, with plenty of explosions and a family-friendly look.
Playing together
You can team up with friends and fight side by side, up to 16 players. Online co-op and online PvP are both supported, so you can pick whether you want to take on enemies together or go up against each other. Remote Play Together is available if someone wants to join from a distance, and the game supports 4 player local play as well. Between matches there is Tankey Town, where you earn marbles and spend them to upgrade and customize your tank. It is a calm break from the shooting, and it gives your group something to talk about while you decide what to play next.
Making your own maps
The map editor lets you build a campaign, test it and share it with others through Steam Workshop. That means your group can make a level tailored to how you play, then hand it around and try each other's creations. The demo includes the editor along with 30 missions from the classic campaign and three survival maps. The demo does not include the full 100 mission campaign, online multiplayer, Tankey Town or Workshop support, so those need the full version. Worth knowing before you start: the full game is where the group play and sharing really open up, while the demo is a good way to see the shooting and the editor first.
