Protect the base, clear the field
TANKS is a top-down tank action game with pixel graphics and old-school music and sound. You drive a tank through levels packed with enemy tanks, and your two jobs are simple: keep your base intact and wipe out every enemy. Different enemy tanks have different characteristics, so you have to read the field and decide which threats to deal with first. Killing certain enemies drops power-ups and other pickups that you can grab to gain an edge.
Play with a friend on one screen
The game supports one or two players. You can play alone, or sit on the same screen with a friend in cooperation. In co-op you can split the work, cover each other, and compete over kills while still working toward the shared goal of protecting the base. Remote Play Together is supported, so a friend can join over a network connection as well. The game works with Xbox and compatible XInput controllers.
Walls, tactics, and your own levels
Destructible walls are a core part of the gameplay. You can blow through them to open new routes, flank enemies, or cut off their approach to your base. Learning which walls to break and when is what separates a lucky run from a controlled one. There is also a built-in level editor, so you can design your own layouts and then play them with a friend.
