What Tuggowar is
Tuggowar is a turn-based deckbuilding duel set on a solarpunk frontier. Battles are short, tense, and decided by the deck you assemble as you play. Instead of a life total, the game uses an interactive map, and a unique draw system plus hidden information keep both players guessing. You build combos on the fly, disrupt the opponent's key plays, and pilot your war machine toward victory. The base set ships with 50 cards, and expansion packs add new cards, mechanics, and missions over time.
How a group plays it together
Online PvP is the main event, with ranked and casual modes, a PvP leaderboard, and a Play a friend option. Mirrored shop mode puts both players on equal footing, and you can pick relaxed, normal, or blitz game speeds to match your group's pace. You can share replays by hyperlink, invite spectators, watch live high-ranked matches, and catch weekly show matches. For solo warm-ups, there are campaign missions, specialized AI bots at five difficulty levels, and challenge runs that are 7-win mini-tournaments. You can pause mid-game and resume later.
Before you start
Every match is meant to be a fresh mind game, so building on the fly matters more than copying a net deck. The card pool is influenced by a medal system: collect medals and spend them to shape which cards appear in a match, letting you lean into your favorite cards. Progression runs from bronze to diamond and beyond, with collectable avatars and player titles along the way. Expansion packs each contain 5 replayable missions with objectives of varying difficulty, some following fixed steps and others playing out more like puzzles. The game is mouse only and touch-friendly.
