A Road Trip Through the Desert
The Long Drive is a road trip game set in an almost infinite, randomly generated desert. The focus is on freedom, driving, exploration, and immersion. It is a semi-post-apocalyptic survival driving game with minimal car maintenance and survival elements. The world is open with no invisible walls, so you can jump over small fences or head toward a distant mountain if you are capable of climbing it. The car is practical for long hauls: with a full tank you can go approximately 500 kilometers, so you are not stopping for fuel every few hundred meters.
Playing Together
The game supports Remote Play Together, which lets friends join in over a connection. The store text lists Coop/Multiplayer as a current state of the game. You can lean out of the car, move closer to the radio, or adjust the mirrors however you want, even throwing them away while driving at full speed. These small freedoms make the shared drive feel less like a scripted mission and more like a trip you shape together.
Before You Start
The game is in Early Access, so expect it to be unfinished and subject to change. It carries tags for Sexual Content, Horror, and Psychological Horror, so be aware of that before you jump in. The world is randomly generated, so each run gives you a different desert to cross.
