Eat everything smaller than you
You control a small ball of grey goo with one rule: anything smaller than you is food, anything bigger is a threat. Eat mice, cats, dinosaurs, gladiators, samurai, pyramids, volcanoes and flying saucers, and you grow with every bite. The scale keeps climbing until a level takes you from the size of an amoeba up to the size of a galaxy. The story starts when the goo swallows a time machine and gets thrown into the past, so you chew your way through six time periods: modern day, the Late Cretaceous, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, Feudal Japan, and the distant future. Each era has its own set of objects to consume, with hundreds of things on the menu across the run.
Play the whole thing with a friend
A complete 2-player cooperative mode is included, so you and a friend can play through the entire game together rather than just trading the controller. Keyboard and mouse work in all modes. On Windows, most controllers handle the single player game, but 2-player co-op needs both players on Xbox 360 or Xbox One controllers. On Mac, PS3 and PS4 controllers are supported. Remote Play Together is available if you want to bring someone in from elsewhere.
What to expect before starting
The main story mode has almost 50 levels, and finishing it unlocks nearly 50 more bonus levels, including brand new ones and harder versions of levels you have already played. Expect the difficulty to come from size rather than combat: you are fragile while small and a menace once you have grown, so each level flips the pressure as you go. The game is 2D and top-down, with a light, comedic tone throughout.
