Brawling, shooting and platforming in one 2D mess

Superfighters Deluxe is a 2D action game where brawling, shooting and platforming all happen at once in sandboxy levels. The levels are semi-randomized and full of objects you can move, destroy, use as cover, set on fire, wield, throw, or drop on enemies. The arsenal runs from bottles, chairs, knives and chains up to handguns, rifles, bazookas, flamethrowers, flare guns and chainsaws, and you can also knock a weapon out of an enemy's hands. Adapting to what the level gives you is the main skill.

Playing together

Versus supports 1-8 players with free team setup, Survival puts 1-4 players against endless waves of enemies, and Campaign has 1-4 players moving through the story. All three modes work offline in singleplayer, online, or shared-screen local multiplayer with up to 4 players. Online Co-op, Online PvP and Remote Play Together are available, so your group can split across the internet or share one screen.

Before you start

The setting is a pulpy dystopian alternate history retro sci-fi world, with the plot sprinkled across three story campaigns: Prime Time in Sunny City, Operation Sunrise, and Escape From Precinct 9. The game carries Violent and Gore tags, so expect cartoonish beat-'em-up carnage. You can pick your skin and gender and mix clothes, accessories and colors, with extra items unlocked through Challenges. A built-in Map Editor uses the same tools and assets as the official maps, and a C# Script API lets you build game-changing extensions or whole campaigns, with maps and scripts uploaded to the Steam Workshop.
