What Fighties is
Fighties is a fast paced 2D platform fighter from Pillow Pig Games. You pick a Fightie from a roster of over 25 characters, each with its own play style, and beat down opponents until one fighter is left standing. The game runs at 60 fps and uses pixel graphics with a retro look. Alongside the fighting, there is a single player arcade mode for when you want to play on your own.
Playing together
Fighties supports 1 to 4 players, so a group can share the same screen for local multiplayer and local co-op. There are three multiplayer versus modes to compete in, plus a 1-4 player co-op survival mode where the group fights together against computer controlled fighters. Online multiplayer is available as well, and Remote Play Together lets friends join in over the internet even when they do not have the game locally. Randomly generated levels and item power ups keep matches from playing out the same way twice, and controller support is included.
Before you start
The roster is large, so expect some time spent finding a Fightie that suits how you like to play. Levels can be built with the level editor, which gives your group something to make and then fight over. The Linux version is listed as coming soon, so check the platform you plan to play on first. The developers ask that bugs and problems get posted in the discussions of the Community Hub so they can work on fixes.
