A chaotic 2D stickman shooter

Boring Man - Online Tactical Stickman Combat throws you into the petty armed conflict of Somewhere Land, where agile stickfigures fight for their lives with high powered weapons against an evil, world destroying sorcerer known only as The Man. It is a side-scrolling platformer and shooter at once, with over 70 weapons to pick from. You can assault enemies on a skateboard with a minigun, strap a shotgun to a flying drone and blast somebody's head remotely, or use the dynamic dual-wielding system to combine different weapons in each hand. The movement is built for speed: walljumping, double jumping, rolling, and a smooth collision system, plus a lot of ladder tech to learn.

Playing with your group

The game supports Online Co-op and Online PvP, with 7 game modes to choose from. Team Deathmatch is the competitive option, Survival co-op lets you defend against The Man's forces with friends, and Zombrains pits you against an undead horde. You can also set up custom matches with wacky mutators and settings, such as the Corrupted Weapons mutator that randomizes every weapon into game breaking nonsense. Hosting from your home network is handled through P2P networking, so you do not need to deal with portforwarding.

Before you start

There is a lot of cosmetic depth: over 8,000 weapon skins that you unlock with XP, and you can recycle duplicates for a chance at something better. The weapon skin creator and sprite modding system let you make your own artwork, and Workshop support covers both skins and maps. The built-in map editor includes custom image imports and an advanced logic gate system for more involved levels. Boring Man is not pay-to-win, and it is developed and maintained by one person with no publisher involved.
