A Run 'n' Gun Shootout
Broforce is a side-scrolling action game where you control a paramilitary organization known for using excessive force. The core gameplay involves running and gunning through levels, eliminating terrorist forces. The game features dozens of different characters, referred to as bros, each equipped with unique weaponry and special attacks. The environment is fully destructible, allowing players to use terrain and exploding red barrels to their advantage, creating chain reactions of fire and destruction.
Playing Together
The game supports cooperative play for up to four players, allowing a group to work together to clear levels. For those who prefer competition, there are several competitive modes where players can face off against each other. Additionally, the game includes Explosion Run, a time attack mode where players must navigate levels while the terrain explodes around them. Remote Play Together is also supported, enabling friends to join in remotely.
What to Know Before Starting
Before starting, be aware that the game features a campaign that can be played through multiple times. The Broforce Forever update adds new characters, challenge levels called Muscle Temples, and new enemies to the campaign. There is also a level editor included, which allows players to create and share their own levels online. The game includes content that may be considered violent, such as gore.
