Seven 8-bit worlds in one package

Retro Game Crunch is a collection of 7 separate games, each built to feel like an authentic NES classic from the 8-bit generation. The genres spread across the collection: Super Clew Land is an exploration-based platformer where you eat, evolve, and explore. End of Line is a puzzle adventure about learning how to die and thwarting autonomous repair bots. Paradox Lost is a metroidvania spanning three time periods, following Abby after she crashes her plane and finds a gun that shoots time travel. Wub-Wub Wescue follows a pug braving the jungle in an early 80's arcade platformer. Brains & Hearts is a two player card game set inside Albert Einstein's dream. Shūten is a samurai shoot 'em up where Owari's village is trampled as ancient gods awaken.

Playing together

GAIAttack is the main group option: a beat 'em up platformer for up to four players, where Gaia has summoned four champions to rise up and destroy the pillaging Sky Pirates. Brains & Hearts lets two players face off against each other or against the CPU. Shūten supports one or two players. Remote Play Together is available, so friends who do not own the game can join in over a remote connection.

Before you start

Expect the challenge level of the 8-bit era across the collection. The games cover a wide range of genres, from platformers and beat 'em ups to a puzzle adventure, a metroidvania, a card game, and a shoot 'em up, so the group should decide which world to jump into first. Controller support is listed among the tags.
