A spit-powered bullet-hell platformer
Garbanzo Quest is a 2D platformer where your main weapon is your own spit. You play as Garbanzo, and if a friend joins, as Pinto, working to save your Friends from the evil Billi' Bones. The world is full of hand-crafted challenges, secrets, and branching paths, along with weird characters to meet. Expect bullet-hell patterns, precision platforming, and boss fights, all wrapped in pixel art and chiptune music. The game was made by one person.
Playing with a friend
Garbanzo Quest supports local co-op, and Steam's Remote Play Together lets a friend join even if they don't have the game. One of you plays Garbanzo, the other plays Pinto. You can also play the whole game alone. Along the way you collect Badges that grant new Powers, and you can customize your character with different hats and color palette swaps.
Before you start
The game is tagged as Difficult and Precision Platformer, so expect a real challenge with tight jumps and dense bullet patterns. It also carries tags for Puzzle Platformer and Moddable, alongside the retro, cartoony, and colorful presentation.
