What Retimed is
Retimed is a multiplayer arena shooter for 1-4 players built around slow motion. When a player is in danger, time slows down and a time bubble forms around them, giving everyone a moment to read the incoming shots and dash out of the way. Those bubbles cut between fast movement and tense slow-motion stretches, which is where the whole game lives. You learn it quickly, but aiming, positioning and reading the arena take real practice. Battles take place across 8 unique arenas with different surroundings to work with, and the cast includes Bintain, Violet, Psycho and Yowie.
Playing with your group
You can play together online or offline, and you can also match against strangers. Team matches put you and your friends on the same side against another squad, while free-for-all turns everyone into an opponent. The modes are built for short, quick rounds, so a group can rotate in and out without much setup. If your group is spread across different places, Online Co-op and Online PvP cover that, and Remote Play Together lets someone join from a friend's session.
Before you start
There is a singleplayer mode too: you fight waves of enemies and can push yourself against the bulletmaster difficulty, which is described as hardcore. Expect a mix of platforming, shooting and fighting rather than one pure genre, and expect the slow-motion bubbles to change the pace mid-fight. The tone is light and comedic, with a colorful world and characters like a bubblegum-bodied Violet and a music-loving Yowie, so it suits casual groups as well as people who want to get competitive.
