What Quaver is

Quaver is an open-source, community-driven rhythm game with a vertically scrolling playfield. It runs two game modes side by side: a 4-key mode and a harder 7-key mode. Each mode keeps its own global and country leaderboards, so you can chase separate records in both. The client is built around a minimal interface, and the whole thing is shaped by player feedback and feature requests.

Playing together

Online multiplayer battles put up to 16 players in the same match, with competition as the main focus. Outside of matches, the replay system lets you watch your own past scores, study runs from other players around the world, and export your own replays to hand off to rivals. Steam Achievements add a layer of challenges to work through as you improve.

Making it your own

The built-in map editor lets you chart any of your favorite songs, then upload and share those maps with everyone and submit them for official ranking. The skinning system covers the rest of the presentation: build a skin, export it, share it with friends, or upload it to the Steam workshop. Since Quaver is open-source and community-driven, player ideas and suggestions can turn into in-game features.
